Birmingham-Southern falls to Transylvania in NCAA Tournament

ATLANTA (Nov. 15, 2019) – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team's season ended Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  

The Panthers (24-7) fell to Transylvania 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Atlanta Regional. The Panthers took the first set before the Pioneers rallied back with three straight-set victories. 

Overall, three BSC players finished with double-digit kills. Senior Rebecca Erwin and Alyssa Coats tied with a team-high 11 kills while Milea Ray added 10 points.

Ansleigh Dailey also earned a double-double. She finished with 24 assists and 13 digs.

BSC has had seven straight 20+ win seasons. The Panthers won the Southern Athletic Association regular-season title for the first time in school history.
