ROME, Ga. (Nov. 14, 2018) — Headlined by Berry volleyball junior Carson VanCampen, headlined five Southern Athletic Association (SAA) student-athletes were named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans, Wednesday.

VanCampen was selected as an AVCA Division III First-Team selection while Laura Beier and Emily Hancock of Berry, Lauren Dwyer of Hendrix, and Jeneva Salter of Birmingham-Southern were named to the AVCA Division III Honorable Mention Team.

VanCampen, a junior middle blocker from Stuart, Fla., earned All-America recognition for the second straight season after earning honorable mention recognition last year. She also earned her second consecutive All-SAA First-Team nod earlier this year after a dominant regular season.

Following Berry's appearance in the NCAA tournament, she ranks No. 4 in NCAA Division III with 1.29 blocks per set and led the team with a .327 hitting percentage. VanCampen was also selected to the SAA All-Tournament team.
