GENEVA, Ohio (May 25, 2019) - For the second straight season, Centre student-athlete Annie Rodenfels won the NCAA Division III Track and Field 3000m steeplechase national championship.

After setting a new NCAA Championship meet record in the preliminary round with a time of 10:07.22, Rodenfels posted a winning time of 10:22.32, which was nearly 20 seconds faster than second place.

Rodenfels, who was named the South/Southeast Region Track Athlete of the Year and Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Track Athlete of the Year, is the only NCAA Division III women's track student-athlete in history to post a sub-10-minute time in the 3000m steeplechase. Earlier this season, Rodenfels went 9:58.83 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College in Illinois.
