ATLANTA (March 13, 2019) - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Kiersten Huitt of Hendrix and Nicolette Andrey of Oglethorpe have been named the SAA Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Kiersten Huitt – Hendrix
Huitt ran 15.52 in the 100 hurdles, which leads the conference by more than one second. Additionally, she then ran a 69.19 in the 400 hurdles, which currently ranks second in the conference.
Finally, Huitt finished the meet by running the second leg of the 4x400 which Hendrix currently ranks third among all SAA programs.
Nicolette Andrey – Oglethorpe
Andrey set a school record this past weekend at the BSC 'Southern Invite. She finished fourth overall in the long jump with a record mark of 5.50 meters. The previous Oglethorpe record was set in 2006.
Additionally, Andrey currently sits second in the SAA, third in the S/SE Region and fourth in among all NCAA Division III competitors in the event.
