Seven SAA women's track and field student-athletes qualify for NCAA Championships

ATLANTA (May 19, 2018) –  Seven Southern Athletic Association (SAA) women's track and field student-athletes have qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Track and Field Championships.

The championships will be held May 24-26 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Karmin Shute of Birmingham-Southern qualified in the 100 and 200 meters. Aliyah Gillespie of Millsaps also qualified in the 200 meters while the Majors' Payton Passantino will compete in the javelin. Sara Kate Capel of Rhodes qualified in the high jump while her teammate Leda St Cyr will compete in the 400 hurdles.

Additionally, Alainna Chretien of Berry (1500 meters) and Annie Rodenfels of Centre (3000 Steeplechase) will also compete at NCAAs.
