Chretien and Winkler named SAA Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ATLANTA (April 18, 2018) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced Alainna Chretien of Berry and Emily Winkler of Centre have been named the SAA Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Track

Alainna Chretien - Berry

Chretien ran a three-second personal record in the 800m at the Sewanee Laurel Mountain Invitational last weekend. She won the event with an SAA leading time of 2:18.57. The mark was almost two seconds faster than the next woman on the list. The time currently ranks fifth in the South/SE region and is second on Berry's all-time outdoor list.

Field

Emily Winkler - Centre

Winkler had a great final home meet of her Centre career at the Centre Twilight Track & Field Meet last Friday night. In front of the home crowd, Winkler jumped a new all-time personal-best in the women's high jump. Her 1.61 meter (5'3.25") performance currently ranks her first on the SAA Performance List as well as 31st nationally in all of NCAA Division III.
