Rhodes earns first-ever top regional ranking in women's lacrosse

ATLANTA (April 9, 2018) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Rhodes made history Wednesday as the Lynx women's lacrosse team earned its first-ever No. 1 ranking in the NCAA Mid-south rankings.

Rhodes, who is currently 12-3 on the season, faced multiple regionally ranked teams and currently have a 0.625 in-division strength of schedule. Earlier this season, Rhodes defeated No. 2-ranked Denison 12-9 and have faced each of the top three schools from the West Division (Claremont-Mudd Scripts, Colorado College, Illinois Wesleyan). 

Rhodes went 6-0 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) regular season, earning their third straight regular season title. The Lynx have a bye before hosting a semifinal round this Sunday at 12 p.m. against the winner of SAA Tournament quarterfinal match between Birmingham-Southern and Hendrix.
