Seven SAA track student-athletes named USTFCCCA All-Academic

ATLANTA (July 26, 2018) - Seven Southern Athletic Association (SAA) student-athletes have been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honorees.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

- Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship

- Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

On the men's side, Robert Eason and Spencer, both of Rhodes, were selected. On the women's team, Karim Shute of Birmingham-Southern, Annie Rodenfels of Centre, along with Sara Kate Capel, Alice Fugate, and Ellery Hayden, all of Rhodes, were honored.
