Sewanee jumps to No. 18 in latest Oracle/ITA Division III National Rankings

GILBERT, Ariz. (Feb. 28, 2019) - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced on Thursday its second national rankings of the 2019 season. Sewanee, after a 6-1 February, moved up five spots to No. 18 in the Oracle/ITA Division III National Rankings.

The Tigers recorded a 6-1 start to the season, and they recently took two of three last weekend in a weekend tri-match against Stevens, Kenyon and Mary Washington.

After a 7-2 victory over the Ducks to start the weekend, Sewanee posted back-to-back 5-4 matches against the Lords and the Eagles. Against Kenyon, the match did not go Sewanee's way, as they lost the contest, but the next day against UMW, the team rebounded to finish the weekend on a positive note.

Sewanee returns to the court Monday for a match against Wittenberg.
