Morton of Rhodes named SAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ATLANTA (Feb. 27, 2019) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Andrew Morton of Rhodes has been named the SAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

Morton had a phenomenal weekend against nationally-ranked NCAA Division III student-athletes. Morton played No. 1 doubles with fellow junior PJ Shaw and finished with a 3-0 record. The Lynx duo defeated the No. 1 doubles teams from #14 Kenyon, #27 Denison, and Transylvania University.

Against Kenyon and Denison, Morton and Shaw rallied after starting each match down 0-3. In singles, Morton finished 1-1 at No. 5 singles winning against Kenyon's Henry Barrett 6-1, 6-3 and dropping a close match to Denison's Patrick McGuigan 6-4, 6-1.
