Westbrook and Jongewaard earn SAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors

ATLANTA (April 15, 2019) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Justin Westbrook of Berry and Connor Jongewaard of Centre have been named the SAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honorees.

Offense

Justin Westbrook - Berry

For the second straight week, Westbrook was named SAA Offensive Player of the Week. The Berry attackman recorded six total goals and 12 assists, setting Berry's single-game assists record against Oglethorpe. On the year, he is top-five in the league in goals (37), assists (31) and leads the SAA with 68 points, also setting a single-season program record. 

Defense

Connor Jongewaard - Centre

Jongewaard recorded an impressive 69.8 save percentage while leading Centre to the No. 2 seed in the upcoming SAA Tournament. The Centre goalkeeper earned a win over Hendrix with 22 saves and a shutout. He also stopped 15 saves in a 16-8 loss against league champion, Rhodes.

His 22 saves against the Warriors were two shy of the Centre single-game record.
