Westbrook and Roberts earn SAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors

ATLANTA (April 8, 2019) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Justin Westbrook of Berry and Brendan Roberts of Rhodes have been named the SAA Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week honorees.

Offense

Justin Westbrook - Berry

Westbrook led Berry to a 16-15 victory over Sewanee last weekend. In that contest, Westbrook scored seven goals, setting a program record for goals scored in a single game. He also collected three ground balls, forced a turnover, and was a force on the offensive end, putting 11 total shots on cage.

On the year, he leads the SAA with 50 points and is top-five with 31 goals scored to lead the team. 

Defense

Brendan Roberts - Rhodes

Roberts picked up 12 saves in an overtime victory against Southwestern. Roberts earned his third win of the season in his third start. The Lynx goalkeeper recorded nine saves on 16 attempts in the first half, keeping the Lynx in the game on their way to a comeback victory.

Roberts finished with a 50 percent save percentage and an 11.68 goals against average.
