Smith was named to the second team while Hirsh was honored as a third-team selection.

Smith, a now two-time All-SAA selection, was chosen as the SAA Tournament Most Valuable Player with his performance in the three-day tournament that saw Sewanee claim its first SAA Tournament Championship and the team's first conference title since 1997. He also led the program to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1998.

Smith led the SAA with 20.1 points per game, a 43.4 three-point field goal shooting performance and an 89.7 percent clip from the charity stripe. Averaging 19.1 points per game inside conference play, Smith was selected as the national Division III men's basketball player of the week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) with his performance in the tournament. In three games, he scored 90 points on 28-of-42 shooting from the field (66.7 percent). From beyond the arc, the sophomore went 18-of-24 (75 percent) from downtown.

Earlier this year, Hirsh was named the SAA Player of the Year honor.

In only his final season for the Vikings, Hirsh was outstanding. The Viking led the league in rebounding with an average of 9.2 boards per game. He also led the SAA in offensive rebounds (88), total rebounds (229), and points per 40 min (22.7). Overall, Hirsh was second behind only Luke Smith of Sewanee in points with an average of 17.2 points per game.

In conference play, Hirsh ranked first in points, points per game, points per 40 minutes, blocks (27), rebounds, and rebounds per game. Most important, Hirsh led Berry to an 11-3 conference record under first-year head coach Mitch Cole.
