Centre earned its bid into the title game after topping Oglethorpe, 75-72, in the opening semifinal game. The Colonels were led by Tucker Sine, who had 19 points, and Perry Ayers, who pitched in 18 points. Centre erased a five-point halftime deficit by making 41.4 percent of its shots the final 20 minutes. The Colonels took the lead for good when Ayers make two free throws with 1:27 left.
