Biggs and Migenco named SAA Field Hockey Players of the Week

ATLANTA (Oct. 1, 2018) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Sarah Biggs (Centre) and Nina Migenco (Rhodes) have been named SAA Field Hockey Players of the Week.

Offense - Sarah Biggs - Sophomore Forward - Centre

Biggs set the tone for the weekend for the Centre field hockey team, recording the first goal minutes into Centre's victory at Hendrix. Biggs would tack on two more goals for the hat trick against the Warriors.

The next day at Rhodes, Biggs provided the game-winning goal, her 10th tally of the season, as Centre handed the Lynx their first loss of the year by a score of 3-1.

Defense - Nina Migenco - Junior Goalkeeper - Rhodes

Despite suffering their first loss of the season, Migneco made a career-high nine saves for Rhodes. Migneco stopped five shots in the first half against Centre, followed by four in the second half. On the week she went 1-1, playing 137 minutes. Her .848 save percentage was a league-high.

Migneco is fourth among conference goalies with 28 saves and leads all with the fewest number of goals allowed (five).
