ATLANTA (Sept. 5, 2017) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Kelsey Fulton (Concordia) and Kristen Mulcahy (Centre) have been named SAA Field Hockey Players of the Week.
Offense - Kelsey Fulton - Sophomore F - Concordia
Fulton finished the week with four goals and one assist for a total of nine points. That led the Falcons to a perfect start to the season with wins over Lindenwood and Oberlin. First, against Lindenwood, Fulton scored three times on six shots. She followed that performance up by netting another goal and an assist two days later. For the week, Fulton had a .333 shot percentage.
Defense - Kristen Mulcahy - Sophomore GK - Centre
Mulcahy had a save percentage of .778 for Centre in two games last weekend. Mulcahy had four saves against Kenyon on Saturday and then saved all three attempts on goal against Denison to pick up her first career shutout for the Colonels. Overall, Mulcahy stopped seven shots and finished with 1.00 GAA.
