ATLANTA (Nov. 18, 2019) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Isaiah Dawson (Berry), KaDarius Lee (Trinity), and Trey Gregory (Berry) have been named SAA Football Player of the Week winners.
Offense - Isaiah Dawson - Junior Running Back - Berry
Dawson led No. 20 Berry to a 55-28 victory over Austin, Saturday. Dawson ran for 162 yards and a program-record four touchdowns. He scored on a pair of long carries from 41-yards and 60-yards out. On the year, he is third in the SAA with 95.9 rushing yards per game.
Defense - KaDarius Lee - Senior Defensive Back - Trinity
Lee led the Trinity defense to a 52-7 road win over Rhodes on Saturday, sharing the 2019 SAA Football Championship with the victory. Lee finished the game with four tackles and two interceptions that he returned for 56 total yards. His first interception came in the red zone to keep Rhodes from scoring in the first half, then he came just two yards short of a touchdown on his next return late in the game.
Special Teams - Trey Gregory - Senior Kicker - Berry
Gregory had a busy day scoring 13 points for the Vikings. He finished 7-for-7 on extra points and added two field goals.
