Luke Smith of Sewanee has been named the SAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Smith recorded back-to-back 20-point performances over the weekend. The Tiger sophomore averaged 20.5 points per game while making 48.4 percent of his attempts. He also finished a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line.
Along with the scoring, the Sewanee guard added six steals and assists and finished with a 3.5 rebounds per game mark. Smith has scored 20 points or more in three straight games and has reached that scoring total or more 12 this season.
Against Berry, the Knoxville, Tenn. native dropped 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting, adding four steals and three dimes. In the win against Oglethorpe, Smith scored 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting.
